This time, we'll be reviewing the plastic model "Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon" from the anime "Digimon Frontier." This is the 18th installment in the series, following "Figure-rise Standard Amplified Paildramon," which was released in September 2024.
KaiserGreymon is a hybrid Digimon that the main character, Takuya, evolves into using the spirits of fire, wind, ice, wood, and earth in the anime "Digimon Frontier." When I watched "Digimon Frontier" at the time, I was shocked by the novelty of a human borrowing the power of a spirit to evolve into a Digimon. The opening song was also cool, making it a very memorable work.
This time, it has been made into a three-dimensional figure using Figure-rise Standard Amplified, so original gimmicks are installed in the Ryukonken and shoulders, and the details of each part are precisely reproduced. Let's start by reviewing "Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon."
Reproduces the glossy armor-like color scheme with red and gold as the base color.
"Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon" package First, let's take a look at the kit in its entirety. There are 15 runners in total. One sticker is included, along with three jewel stickers that recreate the blue crystal-like parts found in various parts. Looking at the runners, the red and gold parts have a nice sheen and are very eye-catching. The Dragon Spirit Sword weapon is made up of large parts that make a strong presence. Even in its runner form, you can see how well each part has been recreated.
"Figure-rise Standard Amplified KaiserGreymon" complete kit
The parts are made of colored plastic and come in five colors, including gold and clear.
Mainly the exterior parts of the legs. I thought the glossy finish was beautiful.
Armed and decorative parts. The colors are luxurious and have a nice texture.
Joint parts. The base is solid, so posing is stable.
The small parts and the white scattered here and there create a nice atmosphere.
Upper body parts. A slightly darker red than the B runner.
Joint parts.
The gold parts of the body are all molded in color! The red is molded in two different colors to create a luxurious feel.
Stickers and jewel stickers. The color scheme of the stickers is also intricate, so that's something to look out for. I immediately started assembling the parts according to the instructions. The subtle color scheme creates a sense of contrast, making even the small stickers stand out. The sparkle of the jewel stickers adds an accent, giving the kit a luxurious feel.
Full view of the head part. It is a simple parts configuration, but care must be taken as the base of the horn insertion part is thin.
The facial features are typical of Greymon. The facial details alone are incredibly well-crafted.
Full view of the chest parts. The shoulder and waist joints are thick, so poses can be held firmly.
This joint part allows for smooth movement and is firmly fixed. Layers are stacked to assemble the base of the shoulder.
The chest is completed by assembling the parts in the internal cavity. The emblem on the chest is also faithfully reproduced!
A full view of the neck and abdominal parts. They are finely molded and have cool details.
